Our body’s reaction when something is being demanded from us both externally and internally causing pressure and various types of response that can come about as beneficial or negative.
IMPACTS OF STRESS
As an individual in society, I’m sure that each and every one of you have ever experienced stress. With that being said, we all must be familiar with the overwhelming pressure and discomfort that stress can bring us. Although stress is not completely bad, most of the times stress can badly affect our mental health and lead us to feeling anxiety, withdrawal, exhaustion, sadness, and much more. Not only will it affect us mentally but it can also affect us physically, but this mostly depends on how badly we come face to it. Some of physical affects stress can cause us are headaches, sleeping problems, stomach discomfort/pains, and muscle tensions. Generally, stress can come in many different forms such as deadlines, presentations, uncompleted work, relationships, and many more. One of our most common reactions to stress are over or under eating, sudden emotional outbursts, and isolation, sometimes some people can even resort to smoking and even drug use in hopes of coping with stress. These reactions usually fester and would eventually turn into habits. In order to be able to deal with stress we first have to be able to recognize it beforehand through identifying the various symptoms that appear. Some of the symptoms that we are able to identify beforehand are restlessness, increase hard rate, inability to sleep peacefully (insomnia), nervousness, and also restlessness. Through identifying and being aware of all these symptoms beforehand it’ll be easier for you to understand and figure out a way to reduce the stress your experiencing and preventing it from worsening seeing as everyone can control as to how they react to the stress that they’re currently experiencing.
